YOU are the only one holding YOU back.
"When you let go of who you are, you become who you might be." ~Rumi

Yay....Spring is just 2 weeks away!!

In Ayurveda, the ancient practice of Yoga off the Mat (aka science of life) we follow the seasons changes for healthy guidance & inspiration.

Transformation and change are both part of life and nature and its seasons constantly remind us that these occur naturally. We must go through all phases in order to grow and although we might resist change, it will happen regardless. If we become in tune with nature, we can learn to flow more freely with the currents of life.

SPRING – THE SEASON OF FRESH NEW BEGINNINGS

This is a period of transition, from the darker winter days to the bright spring vibes. As nature begins to come to life, so do we. It is a period of transformation for us also, and it’s not uncommon for people to shift careers, start new creative projects, end relationships or begin new friendships, during this time. To support this energy, it is a great idea to follow in nature’s footsteps and get a makeover also. It’s all about a fresh new approach to everything.

So, if you want to reach your healthy goals, you must shed your older habits and limiting beliefs in order to grow in the journey. Whether you're looking to have less stress, lower blood pressure, lose weight, have more energy....or whatever it is you want to change, you must be willing to let go of who you are — your fears, harmful habits, negative self-talk, etc.  At the end of the day, you are the only one holding yourself back from reaching your potential.

It’s in the journey where you find happiness. It’s in the journey where you become what you dream to be through growing....just like the seeds we plant in spring.

A weekly Yoga routine is a practice for life (aka off the mat and where all our stress, fear, set-backs and growth are gonna happen).  Allowing the mind and body a chance to align by following the 8-limbs of yoga are the steps needed to water the plant of you!  How many of these limbs have been apart of your previous yoga practice?  See all 8-limbs below:

1- Yamas - ethical rules to remain in control
2- Niyamas - practices to help you be good to yourself.
3- Asana  - poses to move you and refresh you physically
4- Pranayama - breathwork to help refresh you mentally
5- Pratyahara - withdrawal of the senses
6- Dharana - practice of mindfulness
7- Dhyana - meditation can be reached with the help of 1-6 above
8- Samadhi- bliss and ultimate goal of Yoga.  What we are seeking is already inside of us.
